Now we have finally ditched our Uggs for flip flops, and we’re making the most of the emerging summer, you’ll no doubt want to be ready for summer skin and body-treatments. It’s a great time to make the most of pre-vacation panic – clients want to look and feel their best so get them in early with packages that will leave them feeling vacation-ready and wanting to come back after their break to get more of that feel-good vibe.

Body contouring for the beach

If you offer body contouring services, either massage and wrap based or mechanical, now is the time to offer packages that incorporate contouring services. Market these to existing clients as an extra service; you’re in the ideal position to find out if they have a trip booked and tell them when’s the best time to start prepping their bikini body. Entice new customers in with images of sun, sea and blue skies…and slogans about beach-readiness. You could offer a ‘buy three get one half price’ deal, or add in extra value with a choice of a waxing treatment or even something like gel nails at a reduced price if your spa offers nail services. It’s all about selling the ideal.

Sun care specials

Your clients care about their skin, so it’s assumed that they care enough to protect it with great skin care treatments. Use sun protection as an add-on to related services like facials (especially anti-aging) and body treatments. Try introducing summer sun-care packages for clients who already visit you for anti-aging facial treatments; so if you’re booking a client in for a session of microdermabrasion, LED therapy or galvanic facial treatments, it’s the ideal time to upsell a ‘new’ package which includes antioxidant-based facials to help protect from within, and a selection of UVA home care products to keep up the good work at home. You could even throw in a free sun hat!

Spray tan and party ready looks

Does your spa offer tanning facilities? With so many awesome brands and natural looks to choose from, it’s a no-brainer for summer packages. Weddings and events call for glamour and top to toe grooming so why not create a ‘party package’ that combines a body scrub and spray tan with lashes/brows. Think about ways in which you can combine the services that you offer to give your clients a really polished look for a special occasion. Top to toe confidence with perfect skin, hand and feet treatments, a brow or lash treatment and a spray tan.

The best way to decide on summer packages for your spa is to look at your client base, and the products/services you already offer, and see how they can be put together to appeal to more people. Adding extra value to existing treatments, tapping into and catering for your clients skincare and beauty concerns, and generally watching for trends will help build your income over warmer seasons.
